I wish I'd written to Len to thank him for all the good times my daughter and I had at Len's dance school. We used to be up there 5 days a week in the 80s/90s and he made it such fun. Sometimes he'd say 'why don't you Mums clear off and go shopping instead of sitting here getting in my way?' But we liked to stay and listen to his cheeky jokes and really he enjoyed making us laugh. We said 'Len should be on the telly.' The kids had a great time while learning to dance at a very high standard. My Dad noticed 'Len's always larking around but somehow the kids have all learnt the dance.' He'd build the kids' confidence by encouraging them to try new steps, always telling them 'it doesn't matter if you get it wrong so long as you've had a go'. Weekends away with Goodmans at Pontins Camber Sands gave my daughter the best days of her childhood. Len being mischievous on the microphone - he was in his element entertaining everyone. And Goodmans was like a big happy family. Families from other dance schools would say 'you're so lucky to go to Len's dance school'. And we were - he was a wonderful man.
