‘Royal Mail’

Len Goodman, was a great thinker, always thinking of others, he had a great memory, always remembering others, and a big heart always sharing with others. Way back in 1974, Len was booked to do a demonstration at the Mardi Club in Hammersmith. It was a great show with plenty of humor thrown in. Miss Phyllis Haylor handed Len the sealed envelope after the show. When he opened it at home, it was full of old postage stamps. Len was surprised to say the least. After a few days Len plucked up the courage to give the ‘Royal Lady of Ballroom’ a call to politely query the contents. “Oh sorry Ducky, those are for my nephew I gave you the wrong envelope” Len was relieved that his forty quid was safe, and the two quid’s worth of old stamps weren’t for him. Len will be remembered for many things, his Pickled Walnuts, Buttered Crumpets, and “Like Trying to pee Through the Keyhole” This post took a while to get here due to the old postage stamps, however, I can hear Lens voice saying “Better Late Than Never” Son X
